Class Dates: June 1- 2 & 8 – 9 (4 Days)

Location: HOP FD Station 2, 109 Green Acres Loop, Bastrop, TX 78602

Uniform & PPE: Nomex or NFPA Approved Wildland Gear – Field Work, Utility/Casual – Classroom

Materials: Provided to students and included in price

Price: $350 Per Student and is HB 2604 Grant eligible.

Burn Day: Live Burn will occur on the last day of class, Sunday June 9th, provided weather and fire condition permit and burn ban is not in effect as determined by Bastrop County.

Live Burn Location: 435 Porter Rd, Bastrop, TX 78602

Additional Information: Pay will be approximately $100 per day for lead instructor and $50 per day for assistant instructor. Assistant Instructors will not be required to work beyond 5 of the 10 hours, but may stay and assist voluntarily beyond the 5 hours if they wish to do so. Pay and schedule will be dependent on minimum number of students enrolling in course. The set minimum for this class is 3 students. If minimum is not reached, class will be postponed or cancelled.

Additional Assistant and/or Lead Instructor assignments beyond the primary lead will be determined based upon span of control guidelines under ICS 5-7 persons per supervisor. An Instructor will not be assigned to more than 7 students for monitoring and evaluation, with exception to grading of written tests.

Class will be instructed using provided material from SFFMA and NWCG to ensure requirements are met by SFFMA and NWCG standards.
