This course makes the requirements for the Texas private security board, as governed by the Texas Department of Public Safety. The student will learn level II, level III and level IV security officer duties and responsibilities in a classroom and field and hands on training environment. The student must bring 50 rounds of 9 mm ammunition, or their own personal side arm in a caliber that is no smaller than a 9 mm with 50 rounds of ammunition.
Upon successful completion of this program the student will be able to submit for licensure by the TX Private Security Board though the TX Department of Public Safety as a Level II and III private security officer.
This course will be taught over the last two weekends in July (18,19,25,& 26) The last day of the course will be for the students who have chosen to take the level IV portion of this course.

**Once registered for this course, refunds will only be issued if registrations are cancelled with at least 48 hours advanced notice before first day of class, or if written documentation of a death or serious illness/injury is provided, or if the Agency Chief/Head contacts the Director & Chief of Texas Public Service Training Academy before the start of the first day of training and verifies an emergency circumstance occurred that requires the registrant to drop from the course.
