This course is designed to provide training and examination on TXPSI Polices & Procedures as well as legal requirements of Security Officers which Security Supervisors are expected to know. 

This Course is designed for Law Enforcement, Security Officers and Fire Protection personnel who require training to become certified in Fire Watch procedures and protocols. Upon completion of this course the trainee will be awarded certification and be able to perform Fire Watch duties. TPSTA is a SFFMA & TCFP Certified Training Facility. 

This is course is recognized by the TCOLE, SFFMA & TCFP for CE hours with proper documentation submission for CE credit.

This course meets the requirements of the Texas Department of Public Safety - Private Security Bureau

This online course delivers Texas Department of Public Safety - Private Security Bureau approved curriculum for Commissioned Security Officer Training. Students will learn the roles and responsibilities of security officers, legal aspects of security work, security communications, and response to emergencies and safety hazards. The practices taught in this course may be superseded by your agency’s departmental policy. After the Completion of this phase of training Students must attend Phase 2 Commissioned Security Officer Training In Person.

*Prerequisites: Non-Commissioned Security - Level II 

This course also meets Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) requirements for Course #6016 - Security Awareness (General).
