Upon completion of this course the trainee will be awarded certification and be able to perform Fire Watch duties. TPSTA is a SFFMA & TCFP Certified Training Facility.

Commissioned Security - Level III (Phase 1)

This course meets the requirements of the Texas Department of Public Safety - Private Security Bureau

This online course delivers Texas Department of Public Safety - Private Security Bureau approved curriculum for Commissioned Security Officer Training. Students will learn the roles and responsibilities of security officers, legal aspects of security work, security communications, and response to emergencies and safety hazards. The practices taught in this course may be superseded by your agency’s departmental policy. After the Completion of this phase of training Students must attend Phase 2 Commissioned Security Officer Training In Person.

*Prerequisites: Non-Commissioned Security - Level II 

This course also meets Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) requirements for Course #6016 - Security Awareness (General).
