Description
The Fire Academy online is SFFMA Accredited & Accepted by TCFP for Reciprocity upon completion. Cadets will complete all online work before reporting for the skills bootcamp. Course cost includes all required equipment needed to complete the course except live fire bunker gear rental. Cadets already with fire departments may utilize NFPA compliant and in date gear. Other Cadets will need to enroll, then contact TPSTA to secure gear rental.
The skills boot camp is 12 days long and is in Bastrop TX. Lodging will be provided for Cadets during the skills boot camp. The entire program is HB 2604 Approved (FF1 $665, FF2 $665, Live Fire Prerequisite $665, Hazmat A&O $580). Upon training course completion, students are eligible to receive transfer credit into CSU programs.
